I’m James, middle name Cosmo.

For nearly thirty years I worked behind bars, making drinks and making other people’s brands look good. All that time I kept notebooks. Whenever my head got too loud, I’d draw: eyes, waves, little faces, the same marks over and over, until things slowed down.

Those notebooks go back to 1996. Cosmo’s is me finally opening them up.

Every design here started as a drawing in my own hand, scanned and printed onto heavyweight oversized tees. No stock graphics and no trend-chasing. Just the marks I’ve been making for half my life.

I’m a surfer, based in Leyton, east London, dreaming of a van and a coastline. New drawings drop one at a time, each with its own story.
